Our standard turnaround for thin section service is typically 3-4 months, so plan well ahead and send us your samples as far in advance of any deadlines as possible.

If you would like to submit an order for expedited turnaround (Rush, Priority or Standard Plus), kindly contact us ahead-of-time and let us know how much time you can give us. We will do our best to accommodate you if our schedule and backlog allows.

|
When you contact us, be sure to mention any deadlines. Provide specific information about your samples, i.e., the number of thin sections you need, a detailed description of the type of material you would like to send and any potentially time-consuming treatments that may be required (which includes -- but is not limited to -- polishing, water-sensitivity, and heavy or blue-epoxy impregnation).

To submit an order for thin section services, use our convenient fillable order form in Adobe Reader. Use Thin Section Order Form Page 1 to provide your billing, shipping and payment information. Use Thin Section Order Form Page 2 to list your samples and prep instructions. Fill out the forms, print copies, and send them along with your samples (make copies for yourself, too).
